Iran Seizes Two Fuel-Smuggling Vessels in Persian Gulf
The IRGC Navy stated that the vessels were part of an organized smuggling network operating in the waters surrounding Farsi Island over the past several months. Following extensive intelligence gathering, surveillance, and operational tracking, naval forces identified and intercepted the ships, halting their illegal activities.
Authorities confirmed that more than one million liters of smuggled fuel were discovered aboard the vessels. The 15 foreign crew members have been detained and handed over to judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
Officials emphasized that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to crack down on organized fuel smuggling in the Persian Gulf, highlighting the role of coordinated intelligence and naval monitoring in disrupting such networks.
