Talaei-Nik: US Can No Longer Dictate to Independent Nations
Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, made the remarks during a visit to Kyrgyzstan for a meeting of SCO defense ministers in Bishkek.
Upon arrival, he emphasized what he described as the strength of Iran’s armed forces and the “resilience” of the Iranian people, framing the SCO as a platform reflecting a global shift away from a unipolar system toward a multipolar world order.
In meetings with defense officials from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, and Belarus, Talaei-Nik said the United States is no longer able to impose its policies on independent states, arguing that Iran’s experience demonstrates Washington must abandon what he called “illegal and irrational demands.”
He also stated that, in Iran’s view, the United States and Israel are widely seen as symbols of state terrorism, accusing them of committing atrocities against civilians and undermining the values they claim to uphold.
Talaei-Nik added that Iran’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threats or miscalculations by adversaries. He further said Iran is ready not only to defend itself but also to share its defensive capabilities and military experience—particularly its confrontation with the United States—with other SCO member states.
