Iranian students shine at global AI olympiad
Iran’s national artificial intelligence team delivered a strong performance at the third International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026), held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from August 2 to 7, 2026.
The competition brought together more than 500 students from over 100 countries. Shayan Reza-zadeh won the gold medal, while Mohammad Reza Darvishi and Mohammad Amin Nazmfar secured silver medals. Mani Manjibour won the bronze medal.
Iran’s performance marked a significant improvement over the previous edition, when the team won two silver and two bronze medals.
Success in International Physics Olympiad
Iranian students also achieved strong results at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 4 to 12.
The Iranian national team won three gold and two silver medals at the international physics competition, further highlighting the country’s performance in international science Olympiads.
Iranian Students Win International Invention Awards
In 2025, Iranian student inventors also secured two gold medals and one silver medal at an international research and invention competition in South Korea, adding to the country’s recent achievements in international scientific competitions.
