Israel’s Channel 12 aired an analytical report assessing the aftermath of the recent military confrontation with Iran, concluding that the country has entered what it described as one of its most difficult strategic positions as the initial tactical gains of the campaign continue to diminish.

The report criticized the political and military messaging promoted by Israeli officials throughout the conflict, including claims of eliminating Iran’s nuclear program and achieving "absolute victory." According to the broadcaster, such rhetoric failed to reflect developments on the ground and was primarily aimed at reassuring the domestic audience.

Referring to the military operation known as Lion’s Roar, the analysis argued that the campaign did not achieve its broader strategic objectives. It stated that, despite extensive military coordination and support from the United States, Iran ultimately emerged from the conflict with a stronger strategic position.

The report also claimed that the understandings reached in Washington at the end of the hostilities left Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities intact while allowing Tehran room to rebuild its economic and military capacity.

In its concluding assessment, Channel 12 pointed to the international attendance at the funeral ceremony of the late Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran, describing it as evidence of Israel’s diplomatic shortcomings.

The broadcaster argued that the presence of numerous foreign officials and international delegations contrasted with the achievements claimed by Israeli leaders, highlighting what it called a gap between official narratives and the realities that followed the conflict.
