Araghchi reaffirms Iran’s continued support for palestinian resistance
Speaking at a meeting with senior officials from Palestinian resistance groups on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s longstanding support for the Palestinian people and their resistance against Israeli occupation.
Araghchi said attempts by Israel and the United States to weaken the resistance through the assassination of its leaders had failed to achieve their objectives. Instead, he argued, such actions had strengthened the resolve of resistance movements while bringing political and moral setbacks to both Washington and Tel Aviv.
The Palestinian delegation, which traveled to Tehran to participate in the farewell ceremonies for the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, conveyed condolences over his death, as well as the deaths of Iranian officials and civilians during what Iranian authorities describe as the recent US-Israeli military aggression.
Delegation members also expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and praised Ayatollah Khamenei’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause, describing his position as historic and steadfast.
In addition, the Palestinian representatives condemned Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, characterizing it as a campaign of colonial violence.
They called on the international community, particularly Muslim-majority countries, to fulfill what they described as their moral, legal, and religious responsibilities by supporting the Palestinian people and pursuing accountability for Israeli leaders.
