Iranian and US expert teams begin talks in Islamabad

A relatively long conversation between the Iranian and American delegations are expected, the IRIB reporters in Islamabad, Pakistan said on Saturday afternoon.

“A ceasefire has been established in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, but this issue does not include southern Lebanon. This is one of the main topics of the talks between the Iranian and American delegations, and the Iranian delegation insists on the need to observe tangible signs in this regard,” she reported on national Iranian TV.

The ceasefire not only covers the vast geography of Islamic Iran, its evidence and signs must also be seen in the West Asian region,” the reporter also noted citing the Iranian negotiators. 

“What is emphasized is that if the interests of the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic are not ensured, the Iranian delegation will leave the room of the negotiations; this means the diplomacy of strength that the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing in Islamabad,” she further reported.
