Gharibabadi: IRGC response to US actions reflects Iran’s full military readiness
Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ reaction to what he described as US “mischiefs” reflects the complete preparedness of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military forces.
Speaking on Thursday on the sidelines of a memorial ceremony honoring Martyr Major General Mohammad Pakpour, the IRGC commander-in-chief, Gharibabadi stressed the need to continuously strengthen Iran’s defense capabilities.
He said efforts to enhance national defense will continue with determination, adding that Iran requires greater strength and authority than ever to stand firm against its adversaries.
Gharibabadi noted that national unity and cohesion play a key role in reinforcing Iran’s military power, warning that any hostile action or repeated threats will be met with a proportional response from the Islamic Republic.
Referring to recent developments, he reiterated that the IRGC’s response to US actions illustrates Iran’s full military readiness, emphasizing that any further escalation would be met with appropriate countermeasures.
He also underscored the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that Iran considers safeguarding sovereignty over the waterway a vital national priority.
According to him, Iran will not allow any external power to disrupt security in the Strait of Hormuz through military pressure or threats.
