Iranian Lawmaker: Strait of Hormuz remains Iran’s Permanent strategic asset
Ebrahim Azizi issued a warning to all countries that, for any reason, harbor illusions of projecting power in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing: "We are moving forward with full authority to secure the legal rights of the Iranian nation regarding this vital waterway, and we do not compromise with anyone."
Pointing to the strategic status of the Strait of Hormuz and its role in national and trans-regional equations, he added: "The Strait of Hormuz is a permanent strategic position that plays an influential role in trans-regional equations. During this period, while preserving our authority, we have tried to act with proper management.
Azizi noted that the Strait of Hormuz is not merely a maritime passage but is considered a strategic success for the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding: "This strait is a full-fledged economic, political, and military leverage that will forever be at the disposal and under the management of the brave and powerful nation of Iran."
He added: "The Strait of Hormuz is a comprehensive economic and military strategy, and we will move forward with authority to secure the legal rights of the Iranian nation in this regard as well."
The head of the Parliament's Security Commission emphasized that the control and management of this vital waterway is part of Iran's indisputable rights, and no foreign power can deprive the Iranian nation of this right.
He added: "Any hostile action or attempt to limit Iran's influence and sovereignty in this region will be met with a decisive and authoritative response."
Appreciation for Resistance Front Supporters in the Ramadan War
The lawmaker further expressed gratitude to the countries that stood alongside the Iranian nation during the Ramadan War by supporting the Resistance Front, saying: "The Resistance Front is unified and integrated; they helped wherever needed. Although questions may arise in some cases, the reality is that the entire axis supported the Iranian nation."
Azizi stated: "The unity of the Resistance Front at this critical juncture demonstrated that nations supporting freedom and justice will never leave the Iranian nation alone, and this support will remain enduring in the history of regional relations."
In another part of his remarks, pointing to Iran's defensive and diplomatic capabilities, he emphasized: "Today, relying on its internal power and the backing of the Resistance Front, the Islamic Republic is capable of safeguarding all its national interests, including the strategic control of the Strait of Hormuz."
"We will continue our path with authority, and no threat or sanction will weaken the will of the Iranian nation," he concluded.
