Foreign Ministry: War with US-Israel Will Define Future of Human Rights
In a detailed post on social media platform X on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei accused the United States and Israel of launching “a war of aggression” on February 28, 2026, despite ongoing diplomatic talks between Tehran and Washington.
Addressing “every decent human being,” regardless of religion, ethnicity, or nationality, Baghaei described the conflict as more than a regional dispute. He warned that the outcome could shape the future of human rights, international law, and fundamental morality.
Baghaei asserted that the war is not about territory or resources, but a struggle defining the very meaning of “good” and “evil” for current and future generations. He condemned the US and Israel for what he described as systematic violations of international law, including targeting civilians and testing weapons on populated areas, contrasting this with Iran’s stated efforts to protect innocent lives.
The spokesperson emphasized that Iranians are defending their homeland and dignity through their own strength and resolve, urging the international community to resist “lawlessness and subjugation.”
“Those who reject barbarism and domination must find the moral courage to speak, act, and take a stand on the right side of history,” Baghaei concluded.
