Pezeshkian: No One Can Force Muslims to Surrender, Calls for Removal of Regional Military Threats
(Tehran Ana)- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has asserted that Muslims cannot be compelled to surrender to external pressure, stressing that faith in God defines their submission, not coercion by any power.
President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on his official X account on Tuesday that “no one will be able to make Muslims surrender,” emphasizing that submission is only to the Almighty.
“We Muslims have already surrendered to the Almighty; no one else can make us surrender,” he wrote.
Referring to a recent phone conversation with Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate Ali Falih al-Zaydi, Pezeshkian said he had called for the United States to remove military threats from the region, underscoring the need to reduce tensions.
He further stressed that followers of the Shia school “cannot be coerced by force,” reinforcing his message that pressure and intimidation would not influence their stance.
