In his call with Motegi, Araghchi covered a range of topics, including bilateral relations, regional developments, and Iran’s ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at bringing an end to the war and de-escalating tensions. He updated his Japanese counterpart on the latest diplomatic developments and efforts to end the imposed conflict on the Islamic Republic.

Later, Araghchi spoke with Italy’s Foreign Minister Tajani, focusing on the latest regional developments, ceasefire efforts, and diplomatic initiatives. The two sides exchanged views on the security, legal, and economic ramifications of the US-Israeli military aggression.

During the call with Tajani, Araghchi emphasized the importance of European countries playing a responsible role in the diplomatic process and updated him on ceasefire developments.

He also expressed regret over the non-constructive and irresponsible stance of some European nations in reiterating incorrect narratives about Iran’s nuclear program.

Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and urged these countries to condemn the US-Israeli aggression and hold them accountable for their violations of international humanitarian law.

The conversation also touched on the tragic consequences of the aggression, including the assassination of Iran’s Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and several high-ranking commanders, as well as the bombing of a school in Minab, which resulted in the deaths of 168 people, including children.
