Pakistan PM praises Iran’s role in Islamabad negotiations

(Tehran Ana)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Iran’s cooperation in US-Iran talks hosted in Islamabad, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to mediating for regional and global stability.

Sharif made the remarks during a meeting in Islamabad on Saturday with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and other members of the Iranian delegation to Islamabad talks, according to an announcement by Pakistani Prime Minister's Office.    

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and the country’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir were also present at the meeting.

The Pakistani prime minister then had a meeting with US Vice President J. D. Vance who leads the US delegation to the talks.
