Pakistan Opposes Foreign Interference in Iran’s Affairs, FM Spokesperson Says
During his weekly press briefing on Thursday, Tahir Hussain Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, highlighted Islamabad’s principled position on Iran. He stressed that Pakistan opposes any foreign interference in Iran’s domestic affairs while maintaining a policy of non-interference in the internal matters of other countries.
“We oppose any foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs, and, at the same time, Pakistan never comments on the internal affairs of other countries,” Andrabi said.
He further noted that Pakistan’s position is consistent and principled, underlining that while the country refrains from intervening in others’ domestic matters, it firmly opposes any external meddling, particularly in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The remarks come amid ongoing regional discussions about Iran’s diplomatic and nuclear engagements, reflecting Pakistan’s support for dialogue and stability in the region.
