Iran confirms invitation to UN security council special session
In an interview with ISNA, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei responded to a question regarding the possibility of the Foreign Minister traveling to New York in the coming days, stating: "Given China's rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council and its plan to hold a special session of foreign ministers on topics related to international peace and security, our country's Foreign Minister has also been invited to participate in this meeting."
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson further clarified: "This open session of the United Nations Security Council is scheduled for May 26. However, due to the Foreign Minister's intensive work schedule, his participation has not yet been finalized."
Baghaei concluded by advising: "We must remain vigilant against enemy conspiracies involving the dissemination of fake news and images, and refrain from making analyses based on them."
