Araghchi: U.S. “Project Freedom” Effectively a “Deadlock Plan”
(Tehran Ana)- Iran’s foreign minister called the U.S. “Project Freedom” in the Strait of Hormuz ineffective, saying military action cannot resolve political tensions and risks a prolonged stalemate.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account:
"Events in Hormuz make clear that there's no military solution to a political crisis. As talks are making progress with Pakistan's gracious effort, the U.S. should be wary of being dragged back into a quagmire by ill-wishers; so should the UAE. 'Project Freedom' is 'Project Deadlock'."
