In a recent TV interview, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the US has been sending messages to Tehran via intermediaries, including friendly regional states. He clarified that responding to these messages does not constitute negotiations or dialogue.

Araghchi criticized the use of neighboring countries’ territories against Iran, noting that US bases in the region were effectively used in attacks despite prior assurances they would not be.

He urged regional states to distance themselves from any military aggression against Iran, stressing that such actions are illegal and unjustified.

The minister emphasized that Iran’s strikes are not directed at neighboring nations and that the country continues to regard them as friends. Iranian attacks focus exclusively on US military bases, installations, and logistical centers, including fuel supply points.

He highlighted Iran’s achievements during the past 25 days, particularly demonstrating its authority in the Strait of Hormuz, which remains closed only to enemy forces.

Araghchi stressed that Iran is not seeking war, did not initiate the conflict, and aims to end it on terms that prevent future attacks, explaining why Tehran does not support a ceasefire at this stage.
