Iran and Armenia Reaffirm Strong Ties Rooted in Peace and Cooperation
During a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with visiting Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, Brig. Gen. Nasirzadeh highlighted the rapid development of Iran-Armenia relations and expressed hope that the friendly ties between the two nations would deepen across all fields.
The discussion focused on strengthening defense collaboration and exchanging perspectives on border security, geopolitical challenges, and regional stability.
Minister Papikyan, in turn, reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to maintaining robust relations with Iran, especially in defense and security matters. Both officials stressed that their dialogue reflects a shared determination to enhance military cooperation while ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Papikyan’s visit, which began late Monday, underscores the strategic importance both countries place on sustaining close bilateral ties and coordinating on issues of mutual interest.
